Many religionists claim that there can be no morality without religion. To these people I ask, do you mean:
The morality of pedophalic priests?
The morality of suicide bombers?
The morality or drunken hypocrits (Mel Gibson)?
The moralty of the papacy, preaching humility and charity while lording over one of the largest hoards of stolen wealth in history?
The morality of Buddhist priests who eschew materialism but live off the alms from those who don't, while traveling to "sacred" sites in mercedes and jet airliners?
The morality of crusaders?
Religion requires one to suspend one's rational judgement in favour of faith.... in effect, to live a lie. How can a world-view founded on evasion and dishonesty give rise to morality? It can't. Religion is not the base of morality, it is its enemy.
